Curated by Georgia MacGuire, Ngardang Girri Kalat Mimini was established in 2016 as a collaborative network of Victorian Indigenous women artists, committed to promoting unique art practices, with a particular focus on those regionally located.
This is the first collective exhibition of Ngardang Girri Kalat Mimini and highlights the skills,
talents and cultural knowledge of Indigenous women artists in regional Victoria. This exhibition is also the first of its kind in Australia and will be an opportunity for audiences to see the quality and uniqueness of Indigenous culture and the art practices of women connected to Victoria. This project has received development assistance NETS Victoria’s 2019 Exhibition Development Fund supported by the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria.
