Lisa Reid is an accomplished multidisciplinary artist working  across ceramics, painting, drawing, printmaking, and digital media. Inspired by notions of home and personal history, her works are  both observational and meticulously detailed. Reid frequently references old family albums, evoking a sense of nostalgia. Her ceramic pieces, which recreate vintage appliances and objects, are imbued with narratives connected to her family and past.

Reid has worked with Arts Project Australia (APA) since 2002 and held her major survey exhibition, Lisa Reid: The Devil’s in the Detail, at APA in 2015. She has exhibited in numerous group exhibitions, including Melbourne Now, National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne, 2023; FEM-aFFINITY, a NETS Victoria and APA touring exhibition curated by Catherine Bell, which was exhibited nationally from 2020 to 2021; National Self-Portrait Prize, University of Queensland Art Museum, Brisbane, 2017; Painting. More Painting, Australian Centre for Contemporary Art, Melbourne, 2016; Renegades: Outsider Art, Swan Hill Regional Art Gallery, Victoria, 2015; and Everyday Imagining: New Perspectives on Outsider Art, Ian Potter Museum of Art, University of Melbourne, 2014. Reid was a finalist in the National Works on Paper Prize in 2017 and 2018 and the Portia Geach Memorial Award in 2014.

Her work is held in major collections, including the National Gallery of Australia, Canberra; National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne; State Library of Victoria, Melbourne; as well as numerous private collections.
