Janina Green (b. 1944) has established an experimental
photographic practice over 30 years, making observations
about domesticity, motherhood, reading, teaching, sexual
politics, theory and psychology. Green’s early life as a working
class migrant growing up in an industrial town in rural
Victoria made her understand identity as a fluid and dynamic
concept, which is powerfully conveyed in her work.
