NAIDOC WEEK 2026 – CELEBRATING ’50 YEARS OF DEADLY’

02.07.26

2026 represents the 50th year of NAIDOC Week celebrating and recognising the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. While traditionally celebrated in the first week of July – this year from Sunday 5 – Sunday 12 July 2026 – NAIDOC events are held throughout each year around a chosen annual theme and culminate in the NAIDOC Awards, this year to be held in Mparntwe – Alice Springs 0n 15 August 2026.

This year the chosen theme – 50 YEARS OF DEADLY – recognises the significant milestone in the history of NAIDOC Week and its organisational body, the National NAIDOC Committee.
