Anthony Fitzpatrick

Anthony Fitzpatrick is a curator and writer based on Wurundjeri Country in Healesville, Victoria. From 2011–2025 he was Curator at TarraWarra Museum of Art where his recent projects included Intimate Imaginaries (2024–25); Peter Atkins and Dana Harris: SUPERsystems (2024); Peter Booth (2022–23); Sidney Nolan: Myth Rider (2021–22); and Heather B: Swann: Leda and the Swan (2021–22). He has authored numerous essays and articles with recent contributions published in untitled (seven monuments): an artwork by Aunty Joy Murphy Wandin, Jonathan Jones and Tom Nicholson (2025) and Portrait of a Collection: TarraWarra Museum of Art (2025) which he also co-edited with Victoria Lynn. Previous public gallery roles include positions at Maroondah Art Gallery (2005–2011) and The Cunningham Dax Collection (2005–2011). In 2005, Fitzpatrick completed his Master of Art Curatorship and in 2002 he completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Art Conservation Studies, both at The University of Melbourne. He is currently Public Art Programs Officer at Yarra Ranges Council for the major project ngurrak barring.

James McDonald

James McDonald is the Studio Manager at Arts Project Australia. With seventeen years’ experience working in various roles across the organisation, he has amassed a significant depth and breadth of knowledge of the practices of the 150 artists that work within this vibrant and creative space. During this time, McDonald has curated several exhibitions, including two large solo retrospectives, and been a catalogue essayist for a number of monographs and publications about the history of Arts Project. Having graduated in 2006 from RMIT with a Bachelor of Fine Art (Drawing), he also maintains a figurative painting practice.
